ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ

The European University Alliances are an important part of the and (2021-2027). Swiss universities have been able to participate in the initiative since 2022, but do not receive any funding from Erasmus+.

The ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ's participation in ENLIGHT is financially supported by . Movetia promotes exchange, mobility and cooperation within the fields of education, training and youth work – in Switzerland, Europe and worldwide.

Since 2014 Switzerland has been excluded from Erasmus+, the EU education and mobility program, and was temporarily unable to participate in Horizon Europe, the EU research and innovation funding program, which limits Swiss higher education institutions’ access to European funding. Despite these restrictions, membership in an alliance allows the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ to play an active role in shaping the strategic development of the European higher education landscape.
